- Cremer Care, Hamburg, Germany, has launched a new ester made with Zemea® - CremerCOORTM PPD 810 Veg.
- Chuckles, Inc., USA, has launched the first hair color line of products made with Zemea®. The All-Nutrient® brand of professional cream hair color also includes shampoos, conditioners and other styling products.

DuPont Tate & Lyle is excited to announce that it has expanded its global distribution channels for Zemea®. With these new additions, Zemea® is now available in more than 40 countries worldwide:
- Sarfam has been appointed as distributor partner in Brazil. Headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Sarfam is a leading company in marketing, sales and distribution of specialty chemicals for the cosmetics and personal care market.
- Dichem Chemicals has been appointed distributor for Greece. Dichem Chemicals SA is a leading agent and distributor of raw materials and packaging materials for personal care, pharmaceutical and home care industries in Greece and Cyprus.
- IMCD Group distributor partnership has been expanded to include Australia, New Zealand, Italy, Turkey, Poland and South Africa.
- Essential Ingredients partnership has been expanded to include the Midwestern USA.

New Products Made with Zemea®
Did you know that there have been almost 600 products launched globally made with propanediol?
Companies around the world are formulating with Zemea® propanediol to enhance their skin care products (cleansers, moisturizers, anti-aging and anti-acne products), hair care products, sun care, color cosmetics, deodorants, wipes, personal lubricants, fragrances and other active ingredients. Here are a couple of recent launches:
Cremer Care, Hamburg, Germany, have recently launched a new product line - CremerCOORTM, natural derived functional ingredients and solutions for balanced and sustainable personal care products. CremerCOORTM PPD 810 Veg. (Proposed INCI: 1,3-Propanediol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate) is a mixed diester made of 1,3-propanediol and a defined blend of fractionated fatty acids of vegetable origin. The 1,3-propanediol is derived by fermentation of corn sugar. The mild odor, non-oily character and excellent compatibility together with the 100% vegetable source of ingredients make it the right choice for a wide range of natural or organic personal care and cosmetic applications.

Chuckles, Inc., a company based in Manchester, New Hampshire, USA, is devoted to the research and production of professional salon products. Since 1985, Chuckles has set a standard for delivering the finest, naturally derived hair care products to the beauty industry. Chuckles has launched the first professional hair color line of products made with Zemea®. The All-Nutrient® brand of professional cream hair color also includes shampoos, conditioners and other styling products and are available at select professional salons in the US.

New Certifications for Zemea®
US Dept. of Agriculture (USDA) - Zemea® is certified as a 100% bio-based ingredient
Under the USDA’s BioPreferredsm program, biobased products are defined as those composed wholly or significantly of agricultural ingredients. Formulators interested in using biobased ingredients can find the USDA BioPreferredsm listing for Zemea® propanediol on the BioPreferredsm website.
Have you heard of the US Federal Procurement Preference initiative? Federal agencies and their contactors are required to give preferential purchasing consideration to designated product categories made with biobased products containing specified levels of biobased ingredients. For the personal care market these categories include hand sanitizers, lip care products, topical pain relief products, bath products, hair care products (shampoos and conditioners), and a variety of cleaning products.
