Welcome to DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products' inaugural "DTL Dialogue"
We are pleased to share with you the successes of our cosmetic and personal care customers in developing new products utilizing Zemea® propanediol to improve performance and increase "natural" content. One of the challenges in the industry is to formulate products with "natural" ingredients without compromising performance. Zemea® meets this need by providing significant benefits versus petroleum based glycols while being both ECOCERT™ and NPA approved. Our team thanks you for the enthusiasm you have shown in applying these benefits to your products as well as for the relationships we have established throughout the world.

We like to provide ongoing support to our customers with new formulation examples. We will be publishing some new Ecocert™ compliant natural formulations over the next couple of months. In this issue we are featuring a skin moisturizer formulation.

 New preservatives with Zemea® available from Salicylates & Chemicals, Mumbai, India
Saliguard CGZ and Saliguard MIZ are two new preservative systems available from Salicylates & Chemicals. Saliguard CGZ, made from Zemea® and Caprylyl Glycol, is free from parabens, formaldehyde and isothiazolone. Saliguard MIZ, made from Zemea® propanediol and methyl isothiazolone, is free from parabens and formaldehyde. Globally approved, these preservative systems are reported to be an effective alternative to formaldehyde releasers.

Distributors for Zemea® appointed in Brazil and Northern/Eastern Europe
We have appointed Sarfam, headquartered in Sao Paulo, to be our authorized distributor for Zemea® in Brazil. Sarfam is a specialty ingredient supplier with a knowledgeable and experienced technical and sales staff covering the personal care market. Their focus on quality includes customer service and a proficient quality control and formulation development laboratory.
In Northern and Eastern Europe, we have appointed the IMCD Group as distributor for Zemea® in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. IMCD also manages distribution of Zemea® in France, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium and the Netherlands.
